Handachi Koshirae & Wakizashi attributed to the Ko-Bizen Masatsune
School
Date is around 1150 , as can be seen no expense was spared
with the Koshirae fittings which all are in Mint condition, with old nishiki
silk storage bag & finest quality Shirasaya with silk storage bag.
{Tsuka-maki of the Highest level is very old & original single strands have
broken & been previously glued & require re-glueing it is minor considering age
{ Edo Period } & it's very high quality. This kind of Tsukamaki cannot be made
today & is very seldom ever seen due to its high costs only the very wealthiest
Daimyo would have this kind produced}
Matched highest quality costly Menuki with lavish amounts of gold.

Two small areas on the blade on the right side damaged from fighting & 3 micron
sized edge nicks appears to be from the same incident.
Kamakura period (1185-1333)` furisode-gata` type of Nakago found only in
swords produced in the kamakura period.
